2027 · In vitro propagation
Planned clonal multiplication to preserve selected traits and prepare more uniform planting material for industrial establishment.
2029 · Piedmont, Italy
The first planned phase covers four hectares. A 2.0 × 0.5 m planting scheme gives approximately 10,000 plants per hectare and 40,000 plants in total. The proposed model uses rain-fed cultivation, canopy management to approximately two meters and mechanical leaf harvesting. Final site suitability remains to be assessed.
2030–2032 · Plantation development
The roadmap provides for canopy formation, root establishment, annual pruning and preparation for mechanized harvest.
2033 and beyond · Harvest and expansion
The first industrial-scale leaf harvest is projected for 2033. Further expansion would follow evaluation of the initial phase, plantation performance and harvesting results. The production objective is leaf biomass, rather than ornamental plants, seed sales or nursery retail.
